Fontanil-Cornillon is a common French, located in the department of the Isere and the area the Rhone-Alps. Its inhabitants is called Fontanilois.

Fontanil-Cornillon is bordering on the Town of Saint-Egreve, place chief of the canton of Fontanil. On the level of the Cross of Rochette, Fontanil has as a neighbor the town of Voreppe which belongs to the canton of Voiron. Third commune juxtaposed in Fontanil: the Mount-Saint-Martin, small village of mountain.

BACH, moreover a street bears its name (Street BACH) near the town hall. It is not a question of Jean-Sebastien BACH, but of a comic troupier buried besides on this commune.
