Follicule (botanical)
In Botanical, a follicule is a dry Fruit, déhiscent, formed by a Carpelle insulated.
This type of fruit is in the families of Plante S with carpelles isolated, mainly the Renonculacée S (Pivoine, Ancolie, Hellébore…) and the Magnoliacée S (Magniolia, Star anise…).
The Déhiscence is done according to a single longitudinal slit which it line of joining of carpelle and forms two valves which open by dividing the placental line into two, and the Graine S which are attached there find on the edge of each valve.
There exist intermediate forms, resulting from the meeting partial of several carpelles, which make transition with the septicidal capsule S (case of the Nigelle of Damas).
