Folkwang-Hochschule

The Folkwang-Hochschule is an artistic school higher German based than Essen.

Sharing the name of the Museum founded Folkwang in 1902, Folkwang Schule was open in 1927 by the director of opera Rudolf-Schulze Dornburg and by the Chorégraphe Kurt Jooss.

If teaching includes/understands mainly the Danse, the Musique and the Théâtre, the school owe especially its international reputation with the development of the department of dance, that Pina Bausch carried to a degree of requirement and single quality to Europe.
