Since its constitution, association concentrates its efforts in the discographic production of collective works testifying to the richness and the dynamism of the world folk out of Namurian ground. If years 1975-79 were remembered by the organization of the " Time of the cerises" of Floreffe , it would not be correct to think that this small world of the folk, perhaps a little too underground, ceased any activity since this date. For proof, the exit in 2005, of a first double opus: " They dance our racines" , which recalls 25 years of music folk to Namur, since the " Time of the cerises". Collective album in which took part an about sixty folkeux musicians, existing member of 19 groups or having existed and which were reconstituted for the circumstance.
The second volume was produced in 2006, which evokes the figure and the ignored repertory of a Namurian fiddler of the end of XVIIIe: Joseph Gaspard Wandembrile . Heading " Streets of Namur - 1776-2006 , the opus comprises not only pages recorded by groups of the Namurian place but is also the occasion of recordings between musicians members of various groups joined together in " Association of fêtes". It is indeed in this spirit of user-friendliness and meeting that association conceives its patrimonial work of safeguard but also of animation of times of festivals of its city.
Recognized for the quality of its artistic work and its competences, the religious Organization was seen entrusting by the communal college the production of an album memory at the time of the 150e birthday of the choice of Li Bia Bouquet like National anthem of the city. Work of Nicolas Bosret, member of the royal Société Moncrabeau (the 40 let us molons), this popular air constitutes the song of rallying of the population, on any festive occasion. The produced album gave the opportunity of ten versions, true calling card of the musical genres present at Namur: traditional interpretation by the Company of Molons, version rung with the Holy bell-tower of the cathedral Aubain, version with four votes interpreted by the Center of Choir singing of Namur, versions then more dared: mechanical music (Albert Roulive), of variety (William Dunker), blues new Orleans (Crunch Them Black), rock'n'roll (Binde Compost), and even jazz (worked-nova) by the Vincent Antoine Quartet.
It is the second production whose Folknam Musique Trad ensured the artistic director, since this opus made following the exit of one 8 titles taking again the principal airs of the Walloon folklore of Namur (Airs of battery of the military groups, three airs of the repertory of Molons, the air of the torches of the Brotherhood of the Large Fire, the air of parade of Alfers (set of flags) and the popular song of Joseph Detry having given his title to the album: " Viv Nameur Po tot" .
