Folkearth

Folkearth is a Supergroupe bringing together musicians of the whole world coming from the world of the Metal or the traditional Musique

Biography

Folkearth was created in 2003 by Ruslanas Danisevskis, then member of Ravenclaw, with an aim of gathering in a single group the various influences of the European folklores. The first album entitled has Nordic Poem gathered about fifteen musicians of 6 different countries who recorded 10 songs. The majority of the titles were composed by Magnus Wohlfart, and were written by Marios Koutsoukos. The concept allured a good number of musicians pusic it are not less than 31 musicians of 8 countries who take part in the second album By the Sword off My Father in 2006. Whereas the musics are composed by a greater number of musicians, Marios Koutsoukos is essential as being the single lyric writer of the group. Drakkars in the Mist falls under the continuity of its predecessor with 11 countries represented for this 68 minute old album. Folkearth is about to leave off its fourth opus Father Victory at the end of 2007, with a manpower slightly re-examined with the fall since it counts nothing any more but one score of musicians of 7 different countries.

Work method

The type-setter can choose to compose integrality of the song, or only the instruments which it records. He sends then the piece to Marios Koutsoukos which writes the songs, and to Ruslanas Danisevskis which is given the responsability to distribute it to the musicians working on the piece. The musicians send then their recording to the type-setter who mixes the whole of the music and sends it to the label which masterise the complete album.
