Foameix-Ornel is a common French, located in the department of the Meuse and the area Lorraine.

History

The commune of Foameix-ornel is born under its current form on January 1st, 1973 by the fusion of the communes of Foameix and Ornel. There is still a Mayor delegated for Ornel.

Detaché from Amel-on-the Pond during the Revolution the hamlet of Ornel will be set up in commune which will perdurera until 1972, and will be attached to the commune of Foameix on January 1st, 1973 to constitute the commune of Foameix-Ornel. Ornel preserves since a deputy Mayor.
