Flying Chairs

The flying Chaises are an alternative of the horse-gears of the type carousel in which seats are suspended since the top of the horse-gear at the end of metal chains. During the rotation of the horse-gear, the chairs are inclined by the Centrifugal force towards outside.

History

The flying chairs exist since at least the beginning of the 20th century and knew little change since their creations. The horse-gears appeared with the the United Kingdom in the years 1920 but were imported of Germany.

In 1972 again in Germany, was conceived the most important alternative of the chairs flying, was called Wellenflug (in English Wave Swinger ) according to a model of Zierer and built by Franz Schwartzkopf. This alternative adds a movement of slope top of the horse-gear causing an increase in the forces centrigfuges. A mobile version was built since 1974 by the same partners.
