British European (or flyBE ) (Code AITA: BE ; Code ICAO: BEE ; Call sign: jersey ) is a Airline company at low cost British.
History
Jersey European
All started in 1979 with the creation of Jersey European born from the fusion of Intra Airways, company based with Jersey, and of Express train Air Services based with Bournemouth. In 1983 the company was repurchased by the group Walkersteel, parent company of the established airline company Spacegrand charter with Blackpool. Initially exploited separately, the two companies amalgamated in 1985 and established their head office like their Engineering services with Exeter. The colors of Jersey European were adopted in order to give a homogeneous image.During the years which followed, the lines proposed were improved. Larger and very new apparatuses were bought, with in particular three planes Shorts SD360 in 1986 and three British Aerospace HS748 little time afterwards. During the years 1990 the company continued to develop with the acquisition of six Fokker F27 to face the increasing demand of the passengers. In 1990 the company launched its new image made up of new colors and new uniforms.
Jersey European obtained its first flight on London in 1991, between Guernesey and London Gatwick and little time after, the flight Jersey - London Gatwick was brought into service.
The company continued to develop and in 1993 it acquired of three Jets Whisper 146 of British Aerospace to ensure the connection between London, Belfast City and the Channel Islands. In front of the success of this operation, the company acquired of a fourth jet towards the end of the year in order to carry out the connection between Belfast City and Birmingham. Thus its classes “Businesses” transfer the day and Jersey European was the first national airline company to offer two classes of service.
It is only after having gained the price of the “Best regional airline company of the the United Kingdom” in 1993 and 1994 during the handing-over of the prices of industry of the voyage and tourism of the Northern Ireland that Jersey European started to be recognized like an airline company of importance by its pars. The maintenance of the jets was established in Exeter in 1994 thus increasing the window of appropriateness of the abundant services to the customers by thirds.

The change of “look” took place with the introduction of a new uniform which was added to the new image of company of Jersey European. The introduction of the class “Businesses” resulted in seats into leather on all the apparatuses BAe 146 while the passengers could from now on choose their seat in advance, to profit from reserved zones of recording and a priority service of luggage. All that reinforced the constant engagement of the company for its passengers “Businesses”.
In 1997 the agreement of frankness with Air France became new extensive with the addition of flights of Birmingham International towards Paris Charles-of-Gaulle and Glasgow. The acquisition of five BAe 146 made it possible to continue the expansion of new lines. Jersey European reinforced its engagement with respect to the direct regional lines in 1999 with the acquisition of 11 Bombers Dash 8 and four Regional Canadair jets. With the autumn, a new base of major importance was established with the launching of lines towards Dublin and Edinburgh.
British European
For the company, the new millenium was synonymous with expansion. Following the transformation of the mark “British European”, a new stage was reached on July 18th 2002 when a new airline company bearing the name of flyBE. was launched. The change of image involved in its wake a hurricane of fundamental changes for the company, with new offers for its customers and the industry of the voyages. FlyBE. knew to adapt the innovative style of the new cheap airline companies while preserving the quality of service which the customers are in right to wait.
Fly Be was company of launching of Embraer 195 (twin-jet aircraft of 110 places). Finally Flybe bought at the end of 2006 at British Airways its regional branch Ba-conect with more than 50 planes and 1600 people. Before this purchase Fly Be was a company of 45 planes and 1200 people.
