Fluctuat Homergitur is the 15th episode of the 2nd season of the animated televised series Simpson.

Synopsis

After being gone with the cinema to see a film of Reiner Wolfcatsle, Grand-Père makes an heart attack and is found at the hospital. The family goes then to the hospital. On his bed, realizing that its end is close, Grand-Père acknowledges with Homer that this last has a half-brother, Herbert. Homer decides to leave to is sought and ends up finding it with Detroit. Homer there is then invited by his/her brother and discovers that Herbert directs a large automobile company and that he is millionaire. After meeting again very moving, Herbert invites the family to remain at his place. The day when Herbert wants to offer a car to Homer, this one does not find the model which is appropriate to him. Herbert thinks whereas Homer is perfect a " Mr.Tout-le-monde" and charges this last with creating a car which corresponds to him and which will thus correspond to all American. Homer then creates the car of its dreams. But, at the time of its presentation at an auto show, the car makes a failure and Herbert finds himself ruined. Furious, this last ends up deciding to cut the bridges between him and Homer.

Note

This episode marks the first appearance of Reiner Wolfcastle, alias McBain, of Mona Simpson and Herbert Powell, half-brother of Homer.
