Flows of the rivers French of the basin of the Rhone

The following data were especially obtained via the syntheses published by DIREN of Burgundy, the Rhone-Alps area and the Franche-Comté, which manage a series of hydrometric stations distributed on the whole of the catchment area of the Rhone.

Introduction

Définitions :

the module is the interannual medium flow of the river, i.e. the average of the annual medium flows recorded during a certain period (more than 10 years) .

the VCN3 is the past minimal quantity or minimal flow over three days consecutive .

the QIX 10 is the value of the flow calculated for a decennial rising, i.e. a rising taking place statistically every 10 years .

In the same way, the QIX 20 is the flow calculated for a vicennial rising, i.e. a rising taking place statistically only every 20 years.

the QIX 50 is the value of the flow calculated for a rising cinquantennale, i.e. a rising taking place statistically only every 50 years .

Finally the QIX 2 and the QIX 5 are the flows calculated for a biennial and quinquennial rising, i.e. a rising which must occur on average all both or five years. They make it possible to assess the risks with more short term.

the Lame of water is a measurement of the average flow carried out annually in a catchment area. It is expressed by a height of water in millimetres. It is an equivalent on the level of the flow, number of millimetres being used to measure the quantity of precipitations

In the tables which follow, these various measurements of flow and flow are gathered. Some have not yet been able to be obtained and are left blank.

It should be noted that there exist other measurements of the severity of the low water levels that the VCN3, the such QMNA 5. The QMNA5 is the minimal monthly annual throughput of dry quinquennial frequency (having a probability 1/5 (each year) of not being exceeded). It is also called in more condensed way, " monthly flow of quinquennial low water level ".
