Florus
Florus (in Latin Publius Asses Florus ), Roman historian with the ignored life (born towards 70, died towards 140, without certainty).
Biography
Florus was born in Africa and came to Rome during the reign from Domitien. It is contemporary of Suétone, and written its Abrégé Roman history under the reign of the emperor Hadrian.Its Abrégé Roman history goes from the foundation of Rome to 9 a. J. - C.. Its style is fast and has much relief.
To distinguish from Florus, procurator of Judaea at the time of the Jewish revolt of 66. (See First war judéo-Roman)

Publications
There is under his name a Epitome or Summary of the Roman history since Romulus to Auguste , in 4 books.One allots wrongly to him the Pervigilium Veneris and some other poetries, which appear to be one posterior time.
