Florian Leopold Gassmann
Florian Leopold Gassmann is a Austrian Compositeur of origin Bohemia, born with Most the May 3rd 1729 and died with Vienna the January 21st 1774
Biography
Of 1757 with 1762, it writes an opera each year for the Carnaval of Venice, while directing the female chorus of the academy of Venice in 1757.In 1763, he becomes the type-setter of Ballet of the Court in Vienna, where the emperor Joseph II of Austria takes it affection. In 1764, it deals with the chamber music, before becoming the leader of the Court in 1772.
In 1766, Gassmann meets the young person Antonio Salieri in Venice and invites it to join it in Vienna in order to follow courses of composition based on the Gradus AD Passarnum of Johann Joseph Fux.
In 1771, Gassmann founds the Tonkünstlersozietät (musical Company of the artists) and composes its Oratorio Betulia liberata for the occasion.
The two girls of Gassmann, Anna Fux and Therese Rosenbaum, were singers who received the teaching of Salieri. Therese Rosembaum is particularly illustrated as interprets music of Mozart.
