Florent Marcie

Florent Marcie is a film producer mainly documentary.

He begins photography in December 1989, during the Rumanian revolution. After the realization of first documentary noticed, the tribe of the tunnel (1995), then the production of the film a girl against the Maffia (1997), it privileges a practice independent documentarist, in order to free itself from the increasing media constraints. This step will lead it to produce, turn, assemble, mix itself its films, but also to explore new ways of realization. It will be Under the trees of Ajiep (Sudan, 1998), then Saïa (Afghanistan, 2000), a filmic test with the singular course, which will be in particular projected with the Musée of modern art of New York (June 2001), or the kiosk and the war (turned with Paris during the Guerre to Iraq, 2003). Its last film, Itchkéri Kenti , is a documentary feature-length film on the war of Chetchnia. Film of memory, film symbol for the Tchétchènes (projected with the the European Parliament), film greeted by the critic, Itchkéri Kenti is also, perhaps, the first feature-length film diffused with the cinema entirely carried out by “only one individual”. For this reason, some could see in this film emblematic a revival of the cinema. Itchkéri Kenti is in fact the result of a search for independence cinematographic, only able, according to the realizer, to carry a glance coherent and committed on the contemporary tragedies.

Prolonging the filmic step, Florent Marcie founds, in 2007, the files of Noah , a ONG having for vocation to protect the files from war.

He collaborated occasionally with the institutional written press, radio, and media. In September 2001, an investigation carried out in Afghanistan two years before, into the foreign combatants in the rows of the Taliban S, is diffused internationally in a few days.
