Florence Vidor

Florence Vidor , of its true name Florence Arto , is an American actress born the July 23rd 1895 with Houston and died the November 3rd 1977 with Pacific Palisades (the United States).

His/her father, J. - P. Arto, was senior officer. It starts to work as actress thanks to her husband, the artistic director King Vidor.

She signs its first contract with the Vitagraph in 1916. She becomes famous for her role in film of 1921 Hail, the Woman . A copy of this film exists still nowadays.

She divorces in 1925 after having had a girl (Suzanne), but she keeps the name of her husband. The following year it Marie with the violonist Jascha Heifetz. Its career stops in 1929 at the time when cinema industry gives up the Silent film. She dies in 1977.
