Florence Dupont
Florence Dupont is a French Latiniste , author of many works on the ancient theater and the littératre.
Biography
Former student of the National university, aggregate of traditional letters, Florence Dupont supports in 1976 a thesis of third cycle noticed on the banquet in the ancient literature.In 1982, it supports its thesis of State on the myths and mythology in the tragedies of Sénèque.
Its book Homère and Dallas created sensation at the time of its publication. It brings closer work there to Homère of the television serial Dallas the success of the Roman theater of that of the current popular culture. Alain Finkielkraut showed it to put at the same level the erudite culture and the popular culture. It continues its provocative study with the Invention of the literature , which points out the weak role of the reading in the Antiquité.
