Florence Arthaud , called the small one been engaged of the Atlantic , born the October 28th 1957 with Boulogne-Billancourt, is a navigatrice. It is the girl of Jacques Arthaud who governed the destinies of the publisher Arthaud.

It has a serious car accident, at 17 years, “  a turn raté  ” balanced by a Coma and a Paralysis.

In August 1990, it attacks the Record of the crossing of the North Atlantic to the veil as a recluse held by Bruno Peyron. In 9 days 21 hours and 42 minutes, it improves the performance of almost two hours. A few months later, it starts from Saint-Malo for the fourth edition of the Route of Rum: it at the head joined Point-with-Clown, after 14 days 10 hours and 10 minutes last only at sea with the bar of sound Trimaran `Pierre Ier'. The same year, she sings in duet with Pierre Bachelet a song entitled Flo . She is elected champion of the French champions by the newspaper the Team in 1990.

In July 1997, it gains the Transpacifique like team-member of Bruno Peyron.

She takes part in 2004 in the transatlantic race as double Lorient-Saint-Barth with Lionel Péan, and in 2006 with the Odyssey Cannes - Istanbul on monotype Bénéteau Figaro II with Luc Poupon (the brother of Philippe).

In 2007 always with Luc Baby in-arms, it engages for the Transat Jacques Vabre on its boat of " Deep Blue"
