Fleurieu peninsula

The Péninsule Fleurieu is a Péninsule located at the south of Adelaide in South Australia, Australia. It includes/understands the towns of Victor Harbor, Goolwa, Yankalilla and the viticultural area of McLaren Vale. A ferry makes it possible to join Cape Jervis, at the end of the peninsula, the island Kangourou. The peninsula was named during the French forwarding towards the southern Lands by the captain Nicolas Baudin in 1802, in the honor of the Minister for the Navy, Charles Pierre Claret, Count de Fleurieu.
