Chips of Saint-Ouen
The flea market of Saint-Ouen is the most important concentration of antique dealers and second-hand dealers of the world. It is held every saturday, Sunday and Monday and because of this raised frequency, it is for a long time made up only of professionals renting their site with one three years minimum duration old beams.It counts several markets, of which the Vernaison market and the Biron market.
In margin of the market of antiquities, plentiful trade of clothing and articles of imagination occupy the surrounding streets. One crosses there many foreign tourists and even very often of the celebrities.
The Biron Market has nothing to do with noble a périgourdin ruined, in spite of the legend; it owes its name with a Biron family originating in the commune of Lieutadès (southern Cantal is). Besides the town of Ouen Saint has several ways whose name is related to this family: street Anselme (Anselme Biron, farmer and merchant of cattle, the ancestor of Lieutadès); Biron boulevard; street of Hermet (the hamlet of Lieutadès where exists still the " house of Anselme"); the Biron Villa; the Biron stage, etc a " street of Lieutadès" became " street Ambroise Croizat". At the end of the 19° century, a descendant of Anselme Biron, emigrant in Paris like much of Auvergnats, bought arable lands, little of value at that time, and transformed them into allotments. The Biron Market was installed on a property of these Biron.
Chips of Vanves
The flea market of the Door of Vanves is held in Paris, front Georges Lafenestre, front Marc Sangnier and front Maurice d' Ocagne, in the 14th district of Paris. It is open each Saturday and Sunday morning.It counts 400 merchants, who present: pieces of furniture and objects 1900, Art Déco, of the Fifties and 70, curiosities, popular art, old clothing and textiles, laces, pieces of furniture of trades, arts of the table, glassmaking, silverware, jewels traditional and imagination, arts of Africa and the East, glosses and lamps, tables and engravings, objects of bathrooms, cameras and gramophones, furniture of garden, cane, books….
