Flayat is a common French, located in the department of the Creuse and the area the Limousin.

Geography

  • Village located at the limits of the Puy-de-Dôme, the Corrèze and the Digs, belonging officially has this last department, in the the Limousin.

Places and monuments

  • Church dating from the 14th century, and small monument set up at the time of the First World War in order to “request God to save the commune”, built with the hollow of a hedge of 6 meters.
  • Many Jews were protected by the villagers at the time of the occupation.
  • Several ponds, that of Ramade and the pond of Méouze, on which fishings and bathe are authorized
