The term flavonoïde (or bioflavonoïde ) is allotted to a class of Métabolite S secondaries gathered according to their structure Phénylbenzopyrone. The flavonoïdes are known mainly for their activity Antioxydant E.
The flavonoïdes were discovered by Albert Szent-Györgyi. They prove particularly effective to reduce the permeability of the blood-vessels.
The flavonoïdes are present in very diverse organization S. One finds them for example at the Végétaux, where they intervene in the Symbiose between the Fabacée S and the Bactérie S of the group Rhizobium.
One gives to the pigments flavonoïdes the name of Anthocyane.
