Flavelle medal

The medal Flavelle is decreed by the royal Société of Canada in recognition of an important contribution to the Biologie during the ten last years or for notorious research tasks coming to supplement important former work in the discipline.

Sir Joseph Wesley Flavelle (1858-1939), financier and business man Toronto-native, ensured the equipment of a medal in 1924. The distinction, which consists of a plated money medal but, is allotted every two years if a candidature is judged for the height.
