Events

Each summer takes place its spectacle " its, light and gestes" " Yesterday, a village" , reconstituting the life of a village at the beginning of the XXe century. The spectacle was created in 1981, under the impulse of the villagers and the president of the festival committee of Flagnac. It was then a question of supporting the votive festival which, like much, did not allure large any more world. Some paperboards as a decoration, a band its diffused on a tape recorder, projectors lent by the rock'n'roll group of the village and about fifty villager for the reception and the scene; the first sound and lights of Flagnac took life, in front of a hundred spectators; " Yesterday, a village" had been born. The request and the satisfaction of the spectators, the mobilization and the passion of the villagers are the elements paramount which led the spectacle to develop in a progressive and regular way, to fall under continuity. With an evolutionary aim, the spectacle knew multiple modifications, in particular technical, but also of setting in scene and improvement of the reception; and each summer, he sees himself bringing small details of improvement. On the other hand, the screen of the history, it, did not change. Jean of Aveyron, Jeanou for the close friends, and all the others kept the same spirit of simplicity and user-friendliness. Because the raison d'être of this spectacle is above all to give pleasure and give pleasure, to have fun the festival all together, by giving a little oneself, its history, its past. They are more than 500, from 4 to 88 years, to mobilize itself all the year for seven evenings of fairyhood; young person with oldest, the spectacle, which also gave its name to association " Yesterday, a village" became a passion of each moment. It made it possible to find a solidarity and a fraternity too often forgotten. That it is with the reservations, the reception, the crossroads, the carparks of the arrival of the first car until the departure of the last spectators, with the cases, on scene, with the technique, each one found its place all while putting its know-how and its knowledge-being at it. The spectators always mention this organization so particular to Flagnac which took part in re-elected festival. These seven evenings require a constant work throughout the year and are the occasion of many meeting again between neighbors and friends who maintain the site and the kitchen garden, rapiècent the costumes unearthed in the attics flagnacois. Meeting again always ending in a meal or a pot.
