Flag of Singapore
The flag of Singapore was drawn after obtaining autonomy in 1959 and was used for the first time on December 3rd of the same year. The red means universal fraternity and the equality of all, and the white the purity and the virtue of the Nation. The moon represents Singapore like a young country in ascent, and the five stars represent the Démocratie, the Paix, the Progrès, the Justice and the equality.
