Flag of Madagascar
The Malagasy flag which are composed of three colors (red, green and white) with a white vertical band, and two green and red horizontal bands. The colors of the flag reflect the flora of the Large Island, very diversified.
Origin of the colors

Red: color of the clay which covered the walls of the houses of the Imerina, red like the shroud of the kings formerly, or, symbol of the blood of zebu immolé for the reversal of dead (in the animism, very present at Madagascar).
- White: as the collected rice (rice is one of the main resources which Madagascar with vanilla has) but also the Lamba whose the women draped themselves.
- Green: companion of the travellers with the coconut the ravenala (tree of the travellers), the emblem of Madagascar, symbol of the union enters the man and nature, or the rice plantations.
