Flag of Kalmoukie

Current the Flag of the Kalmoukie date of the autonomy of the republic within the Federation of Russia in 1993.

Its symbolic system is of Buddhist inspiration, the Buddhism Tibetan being the principal religion of the country. The characteristic of this one: it is the only majority Buddhist religion in a European State , is today a big factor of the national identity kalmouke.

• the white lotus represents the purity,
• the unit symbolizes peace and the life in harmony.
