Flag football
The Flag football is a sport derived from the American football where the platings are replaced by the arachage fabric bands (known as: flag) fixed on the belt of the players. There exist several versions with the play: 9 compared with 9,7 compared with 7,5 against 5 or 4 against 4.
This sport is practiced by the boys and the girls (the teams can be mixed) and gives place to national competitions and international on the American continent and in Europe. The championship of France of flag football is held thus since 1989 and it is precisely France which is currently champion of Europe, to 5 against 5, after its successes in 2005 and again in 2007 among boys. In the girls, France is champion of Europe in 2007 in front of Finland, whereas the Frenchwomen were vice-champions of Europe in 2005 behind same Finnish.
A World cup is held each year; this competition of the IFFF is always disputed on the American continent and opens very timidly with the European formations. The United States is champions among boys in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2005. Canada removes the male title in 2004. In the girls, the United States waits until 2004 to gain their single world title because the Mexican ones gain the titles 2000,2001,2002,2003 and 2005. At the school level, the secondary school Jean-Nicolet with gained the banner of champion provincial by the mark of 31-28 against Rawdon in June 2006 to see: World cup of flag football of the IFFF
Another World cup is held since 2000 under the aegis of NFL. to see: World cup of flag football of the NFL
A third World cup is held under the aegis of the international federation of American football, the IFAF. The last championships of the world in Korea saw triumphing the female teams and male over France of flag. to see: World cup of flag football of the IFAF
