Calé (J XXXVII Kale) was discovered in 2001 (from where its temporary designation S/2001 J 8). It belongs to the Groupe of Carmelite friar, made up of the moons irregular and retrograde which orbit Jupiter enters 23 and 24 Gm of distance to a slope of 165°.
It would draw its name from the one of the Graces (Greek Kharitès , Latin Gratiae ), girls of Zeus; Fixed would be the wife of Héphaïstos according to certain authors, although Aphrodite fulfills usually this role.
