First chain

the First Chain is the chain of information of the radio of Radio-Canada, the public diffuser of the Canada.

Situation

The station is available on the Canadian territory, but its cover is not as wide as that of CBC Radio One, because only the provinces of the Quebec and the Ontario lay out of more than one production center. The network reaches 90% of the French-speaking people of Canada.

History

Certain French programs are diffused by the CRCM starting from 1933, but the French-speaking network is officially created the December 11th 1937 with the launching of CBF.

In 1938 the station develops in a new network with the launching of CBV with Quebec and CBJ with Chicoutimi.
