Firn and Gliz

Firn and Gliz are the mascots Winter Olympics 2006 organized with Turin.

Neve is a snowball, Gliz is an ice cube. Firn and Gliz recall, by their names and their forms, the two essential components of the winter sports: snow and ice. Together, they represent the values of Italy and the Olympic ideal: friendship and enthusiasm, honesty and entertainment, design and innovation. . They were create by the Portuguese designer Pedro Albuquerque.
