Firmin Verhevick
Firmin Verhevick , is a Belgian painter, it was born with Molenbeek-Saint-Jean in 1874, and deceased in 1962 with Saint-Jose-ten-Noode where it lived street of the Farm n°121.
In addition to a formation near Jean Laudy (1877-1956) and of Franz Courtens (1854-1943), it made frequent stays in France and Italy where it could refine his style.
It produced landscapes, indoor scenes or navy.
It also practiced the charcoal and strong water.
According to Eugene De Seyn, of which we summarize the remarks, its watercolours are extremely appreciated amateurs, and much consider his Marché of Zaccharia to Venice , like a small masterpiece watercolour.
Moved away from all the currents " modernes" who disorientated the amateurs liking works " solides" , it produced realistic and sensitive fabrics, without however falling into the chromo.
