Henriette Martinez is a woman French Politique , born the July 10th 1949 with Laragne-Montéglin (Hautes-Alpes).

She is member of the Union for a popular movement, after having adhered to the RPR.

Biography

Professor certified of Italian, it initially taught with the college of Laragne-Montéglin, then with the college Aristide Briand of Gap.

It entered in policy in 1989 while becoming municipal adviser of Laragne-Montéglin. The August 6th 1991, it becomes about it mayor, function which it always exerts.

The September 8th 1991, it becomes the first woman member of the General advice of Hautes-Alpes. She was vice-president of 1998 to 2001, year when its last departmental mandate was completed.

She was also member of the District council of Provence-Alp-Coast of Azure of 1992 to 1993 and 1988 to 2004.

She is first elected once Députée the March 28th 1993, for Xe legislature (1993 - 1997), in the 1 {{Re}} district of Hautes-Alpes, by beating the outgoing deputy Daniel Chevallier (PS) elected since 1981. This last will hold its revenge however by finding its seat in 1997.

It finds the benches of the National Assembly for XIIe legislature by beating Daniel Chevallier again the June 16th 2002 with 52,70% of the voices to the second turn. It then took part in the Mission of parliamentary information on the accompaniment of the end-of-life and in that relating to the family and the rights of the child. She is very implied in the relative questions with the child welfare and the fight against the ill-treatment of the children. As a president of the group of studies “population and development” of the National Assembly, she worked on the government aid with the development.

She was re-elected appointed the June 17th 2007, for XIIIe legislature (2007 - 2012), by beating, with the second round, Karine Berger (PS) with 51,77% of the votes. She sits in the group UMP. She belongs to the commission of the foreign affairs and is member of the delegation of the National Assembly to the women's rights and the equal opportunity between the men and the women.
