Fires of the slope ( Limelight ) is an American film of Charles Chaplin, left in 1952.

Synopsis

The last American film of Charles Chaplin tells the history of an old singer of Music Hall (Calvero) in the shade of the retirement which wants to help a young ballet dancer at all costs (Therese Ambrouse says Terry) to go and dance comfortably in front of a crowd. The apogee of film is the duet that Chaplin made with its single rival in comedy, legendary the Buster Keaton.

In this film the character of Calvero is not without pointing out that of Charlot. Thus, Chaplin signs here the good-byes with its character whose celebrity even measurable any more and did not become the allegory of 7th Article.
