Finger of Galileo

The Doigt of Galileo (Hebrew אצבעהגליל, Etzba HaGalil ) is the area more in North of Israel, an extension of the Galileo, which was thus named during the period of the British mandate because of its form evoking that of a Doigt, thus constituting an example of panhandle .

It skirts to North and the West the Lebanon, in the East the Plateau of Golan. The Finger of Galileo is made up of two distinct geographical areas: the Vallée of Swelled and the Monts of Nephtali. Its principal city is Qiryat Shemona.
