Finarfin
In the work of J.R.R. Tolkien, Finarfin is a Elfe Noldo, third wire of Finwë, and youngest of the half-brothers of Fëanor.
It, was only accompanied by its people, to remain in Aman at the time of the exile of Noldor, and thus the only one to respect the will of the Valar, frightened in particular by the prophecy of Mandos. One also says that only his house among all those of Noldor had fair hair, coming from his mother, Indis.
All his/her children (Finrod, Angrod, Aegnor and Galadriel) followed Fëanor in Ground of the Medium. Finrod and Galadriel are those which survived longest and ensured the descent of the continuation of the house of Finarfin.
In Silmarillion , one says of him that it “was rightest and that it had the wisest heart, and that thereafter he had as friends the children of Olwë, the lord of the Teleri and that he married his daughter Eärwen”. And indeed, he warned Noldor when he saw the pride of Fëanor increasing, like his jealousy towards the capacity of his father. He was also opposed to the walk of Fëanor against Morgoth, but was not listened. And whereas Fëanor was entêtait in the battle, because he wanted to hold his oath, Finarfin left it, involving with him many Teleri of the house of Olwë and they obtained the forgiveness of Valar.
Its relations with Fëanor are turbid (even hostile in certain extracts of the Silmarillon ), because this last did not like the remarriage of his/her father with Indis, and did not love either the two children who were born from this union. And contrary to Fingolfin, his older brother, he refused to follow Fëanor and to leave in Ground the Medium and became the Lord of Noldor of the city of Tirion, in Aman.
At all events, it remained as Aman with Valar and does not perish in the tumult generated by Fëanor and its sons, nor in the wars against Morgoth.
