Finance company

In France, a finance company is a institutional Unité according to the Norme S of the National accounting.

The whole of the finance companies forms one of the six sectors insitutionnels of the National accounting.

The institutional sector of the finance companies is divided into five institutional under-sectors:

  • Central bank
  • Other monetary financial institutions (national compatibility excludes there by convention the insurance companies and the pension funds)
  • Other financial intermediaries
  • Auxiliaires financial
  • Insurance companies and Pension funds

The Bank S co-operatives and mutualists, who form historically part of the social economy, are attached to the finance companies, and are not regarded as ISBLSM.
