Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy X (ファイナルファンタジー X, fainaru fantajī X ), often shortened FFX , is the tenth episode of the famous series of roleplays Final Fantasy, and the first episode left on the Playstation 2 Sony. It left to the Japan on July 19th, 2001, with the the United States on December 18th, 2001, in Europe on May 24th, 2002 then in Korea on June 4th, 2002. For information, it is about the first play of the series Final Fantasy with being left in Korea.
Final Fantasy X was sold all over the world to 7,75 million units (figures of December 2005). It belongs to the thirty most sold video games of all times. The readers of the magazine Famitsu crowned it better set of all times at the beginning of 2006.
In the beginning, the developer Square (today Public garden Enix ) envisaged to decorate Final Fantasy X of functions in line (guide, forums, etc) accessible via PlayOnline, but the project was abandoned because premature. Final Fantasy X is also the first play of the series to propose voices.
System of play
Like the preceding episodes of the series, “Final Fantasy X” uses a sight with the third nobody. One notes the appearance of the chart on the screen, which was not present previously. When the hero meets an enemy, the screen is transformed into ground of combat. The players can always make evolve/move the characters by facing adversaries and by obtaining various objects. Nevertheless, the traditional system of Points of competence was abandoned with the profit of a very new system called " Sphérier".
Graphics
The capacities of Playstation 2 made it possible the developers to create environments 3D returned in real-time, contrary to the preceding episodes (Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII and Final Fantasy IX) where the decorations in 3D pre-were returned and on which were superimposed characters in 3D. The monsters keep the aspect of the preceding episodes of the series: one finds the elementary ones, mutant animals, flying bombs, etc Final Fantasy X makes also the good share with the special effects in any kind: effects of blur ( blur ), zooms, light effects, etc
Traditionally since the 7th episode, Square included many scenes kinematics in synthesized images (FMV, Full Motion Video ) which start with moment-keys of the scenario. Nevertheless, Final Fantasy X has a style different of scenes kinematics, more frequent and shorter. The majority of the scenes in the play use the graphics returned in real-time, and are thus not regarded as kinematics.
Contrary to its predecessor, Final Fantasy IX (for which the characters were drawn according to the style called " SD" , Super Deformed , where the proportions of the characters do not correspond to reality), the characters are drawn with realistic proportions, same manner as those of Final Fantasy VIII. Public garden in developed one complex system of facial animation more in order to return the expressions of the face of the characters as realistic as possible.
The world
Final Fantasy X is different from the preceding episodes in the presentation of the world in which the player evolves/moves: previously, the player traversed what one could call a " chart interactive" (the atlas), on which the various places were which it was possible to visit. For Final Fantasy X , the developers chose a more realistic approach. Thus, all the places where the player can go are physically " connectés" ones with the others. The player thus passes from one place to the other without passing by the atlas. As from a certain moment of the play, the player can however control an air vessel which it can use to go instantaneously from a place to another by choosing his destination on a chart of Spira.
The system of combat
Final Fantasy X uses a novel mode of combat, called “Combat out of Turn of action by Battements” (CTB, in English Conditional Turn-Based Battle System ), which replaces traditional the Combat in Real-time (ATB, acronym of Active Time Battle ). The CTB makes it possible to the player to have a strategic approach of the engagements, since it has an unlimited time to decide exit of the combat. Time is thus constantly solidified, except when the player or the adversary carries out an action. In top on the right of the screen the window CTB is which indicates the order in which the protagonists will play. Only three characters are playable with the screen, contrary to Final Fantasy IX which proposed four of them simultaneously. Constantly, the player can change character while supporting on L1. In normal weather, the attacks do not inflict more than 9999 HP of damage, unless using special objects which make it possible to exceed this threshold. In this case, the maximum is carried to 99.999 HP. Moreover, three words can appear at the time of the attack: Garde (the character is immunized against the attack or the deterioration of state), Raté (the attack missed its target) or Overkill (if the attack is critical and exceeds by far the maximum of HP of the adversary). Lastly, at the end of the combat, the characters who have there taken share receive PC (Points of Competence), like of Gils and often of the objects.
Orders
The various orders of combat are accessible via a menu in bottom from the screen. Here is the list (varies according to the characters and their evolution):- To attack : The selected character attacks the indicated target. It is a physical blow whose power depends of course on the force of the character.
- To call upon : Yuna is the only one to have this order, which makes it possible to call upon a Dream.
- Special : Allows the character to use a special attack. In addition to inflicting damage, these attacks can for number of them inflict deteriorations of state to the adversaries. They consume MP (Points of Magic).
- Technical : The majority of the techniques are used to modify (for the combat in progress) one or more characteristics of one or more of your characters, or then to carry out special actions (To fly, Fuir, Provoquer…). Only a small portion of the techniques require MP.
- Magic : One distinguishes from them two types (which consume all of the MP, except 'Aspires )
- the White Magie , which is used for defending, looking after or more rarely causing deteriorations of state.
- the Black Magic , offensive generally, so used to cause deteriorations of state. To use it effectively, it is necessary to take account of the sensitivities between the 4 elements (Fire/Glace, Eau/Tonnerre).
- Objects: This order is used to use various objects in the course of combat, to look after itself for example.
Secondary orders (to post them, the player must use the left or right key):
- Weapon/Protection : Is used to change weapon or protection, very useful vis-a-vis certain enemies if the player is taken with deprived.
- To flee : Allows to escape individually from a combat.
- Easy ways! : This order appears occasionally at the time of certain combat. It makes it possible to the protagonist to carry out a special action (for example, to speak with the enemy, or to engage certain mechanisms).
- Overdrive! : It appears when the gauge of Overdrive is full (cf following paragraph).
Overdrives
During the engagements, a bar is visible under the points of Life (HP) and Magic (MP) of each one of your characters. When the bar is full, the character in question can launch his Overdrive, which is a special attack inflicting of the damage or the effects much more important than a normal attack. They are the equivalents of the " Limites" of Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII, or " Transes" of Final Fantasy IX. An innovation is introduced here: each overdrive involves the launching of a mini-play, requiring a certain handling to function. There exist various manners of filling its gauge with overdrive. Basiquement, in fact the blows boxed by the character make climb its gauge. With the wire of the play, other means appear (by dodging attacks, by looking after a partner, when an ally undergoes damage… etc).Overdrives of the characters:
- Tidus / Fencing : A bar with a mark in its center appears on the screen. The player must press on Croix when the cursor reaches the mark in the center, before the end of the countdown, so that the Overdrive is most powerful possible. Tidus has four alternatives for its Overdrive: Handspring , Attack , Flood of energy and Champion of blitz .
- Yuna / Osmosis : Thanks to Osmosis, Yuna can call upon a Dream with which the bar of Overdrive is full. No handling to be carried out. Small characteristic, if Osmosis leads to a launching of Overdrive, the gauge of Overdrive of the Dream is found on its preceding level: it is thus possible to connect 2 Overdrive attacks of sharp with a Dream.
- Wakka / Jackpot : Three covered casters of symbols appears on the screen. The goal is of course to stop the casters on three identical symbols, in order to obtain the most possible power. Wakka has four alternatives for its Overdrive: Elements (attacks elementary), Combos (allows to carry out several attacks in combo), Altérations (allows to inflict a deterioration of state), and Special Aurochs (which makes it possible to use the symbols of the first three alternatives and to carry out an attack devastator). It will be noticed that the Overdrive Combos is the attack having the largest offensive potential of the play (without counting Zanmato, to see the Yojimbo dream): it can inflict, in certain circumstances, up to 1.199.988 HP of damage.
- Excentric / To subjugate : Excentric can use a fate of Black Magic on several enemies. The power is multiplied by ten by the number of rotations carried out by the player on the joystick right (up to 16). The Overdrive is usable even if Excentric does not have any more a MP or is under the blow of the deterioration of Mutisme state.
- Kimahri / Emulattak : Kimahri can use one of the techniques which he learned near his adversaries thanks to Ryuken.
- Auron / Mystery : In a very limited time (not more than 4 seconds), the player must carry out the combination of keys posted with the screen, in order to make the Overdrive most powerful possible. Auron has four alternatives for its Overdrive: Tooth of dragon , Comet , Eradication and Tornado .
- Rikku / Alchemy : Young Al-Bhede with the capacity to be able to combine two objects in order to be able to create new, with the varied effects. For example, by combining a Key Sphere niv.2 and Mégalixir, one obtains an Eccentric, which allows the gauges of Overdrive characters to fill twice more quickly than the normal. Or, by combining a Key Sphere niv.2 with a Spirit of Bombo, one obtains the attack Burning Soul, which produces nine attacks of 900 HP each one.
- the Dreams : the dreams also have a gauge of Overdrive, with a special attack with the key (Valefore, exception, can learn two different attacks). These gauges as well fill when the dream inflicts or sudden damage. Here the list of the Dreams and their Overdrives:
- Valefore / Howls : The first dream of the play inflicts not-elementary damage. So that the Overdrive exceeds the 9999 HP, Yuna must have the weapon of the Seven Ancient Stars Nirvana and have activated it. There in any case exists a hidden overdrive named Echo , which proves to be very powerful, much more than Hurlements . One obtains it while speaking with a lady with his dog with Besaid.
- Ifrit / Divine comedy : Inflict damage of the Feu type. So that its Overdrive exceeds the 9999 HP, Wakka must have the weapon of the Seven Ancient Stars World Champion and have activated it.
- Ixion / Electroflux : Inflict damage of the Tonnerre type. So that its Overdrive exceeds the 9999 HP, Kimahri must have the weapon of the Seven Ancient Stars Longinus and have activated it.
- Shiva / Transcendantale : Inflict damage of the Glace type. So that its Overdrive exceeds the 9999 HP, Lulu must have the weapon of the Seven Ancient Stars Chevalier Onion and have activated it.
- Bahamut / Méga Atomnium : Inflict not-elementary damage, its Overdrive being appeared as a gigantic explosion. The attack exceeds the 9999 HP without any condition.
- Animated / Chaos : Inflict not-elementary damage with all the enemies. Its Overdrive is one of the most powerful attacks of the play. It exceeds the 9999 HP without any condition.
- the Sisters Magus / Delta (All unit!) : Maria, Anabella and Samanta (not-elementary dreams) lay out each one of a gauge of Overdrive. When the three gauges are full, the Overdrive is available: it is a gigantic elementary attack which exceeds the 9999 HP without any object in particular.
- Yojimbo : This Dream is a case with share, owing to the fact that it does not have true Overdrive. However, Yojimbo has four special attacks ( Daigoro, Kozuka, Wakizashi, Zanmato ). Yojimbo launches one of these four special attacks according to the gils (money) that the heroes give him with each turn, as well as other random factors. Zanmato is the most powerful attack of the play, because it makes it possible to kill any monster (even the boss) of only one blow. So that its attacks can exceed the 9999 HP, Auron must have the weapon of the Seven Ancient Stars Masamune and have activated it.
Sphérier
The system of evolution of Final Fantasy X is single in its kind. Contrary to the traditional plays, there are no levels related to a certain number of point of experiment (XP) which influence the characteristics of the heroes of the play. Moreover, any character can learn any competence, more or less easily according to the hero. In FFX , each character has Niv.E (level of evolution), which can go up to 99 at the most. These Niv.E determine the number of possible displacements on Sphérier (5 Niv.E = possible displacement of 5 boxes). The player must fight enemies in order to obtain PC (Points of Competence), which enables him to pass from one Niv.E to the other, and thus to obtain displacements on Sphérier.Sphérier, accessible since the principal menu (Triangle), is appeared as a large plate on which are boxes (called Sphères of Evolution ) connected the ones to the others by lines. One finds various types of Spheres of Evolution:
- of the spheres which increase the characteristics: HP, MP, Force, Constitution, Magic, Spirit, Speed, Dodging, Precision and Chance.
- of the spheres which make it possible to learn from new attacks: Special, Technical, White Magic, Black Magic.
- there exist also Limitosphères , which block certain passages on Sphérier.
To activate these Spheres of Evolution, the player needs Spheres, which it generally receives at the end of the combat. There are various types, symbolized by colors:
- Red : increase the characteristics. One distinguishes the Spheres Physique , Mentale , Agilité , Comp . (competences) and Star (chance).
- Yellow : special spheres, which are used to activate a box already activated by another character.
- Purple : used to transform the empty boxes of Sphérier into boxes usable.
- Black : in fact the Key Spheres go from level 1 to 4, used to free Limitosphères, they also of level 1 to 4.
- Violet clearly : for téléporter on another box.
- Blue : to destroy an already activated box.
When the player arrives on a box/Sphère of Evolution, it must use a corresponding sphere. For example, if the character is on a box " HP + 200" , it must have a red sphere of Physique type. If it is on a box Esquive + 2, it will be necessary to use a red Sphere of Agilité type. Each character is differentiated by a color: light blue (Tidus), White (Yuna), Red (Auron), Blue (Kimahri), Yellow (Wakka), Purple (Excentric) and Green (Rikku). Each box of the sphérier is surrounded by seven squares taking again the colors of each character. When the character in question activates a box, the square the representative ignites. Just as the way borrowed by the character is surligné, which makes it possible to have an overall picture of the traversed way.
This system resembles by far a plate of Board game. Two Sphériers exist in the play:
- the Standard Sphérier , which guides the characters towards competences and increases in characteristics corresponding to them best (Yuna towards boxes White Magie, Auron towards Force boxes or HP… etc).
- the Expert Sphérier , rather advised to the players aguerris, place the characters in the center of the plate and allows a greater freedom of movement. With this Sphérier, the player can radically change the nature of the characters, for example to transform Lulu into warlike, or Auron as a Black Magus.
To note: when a character reconsiders his steps, 1 Niv.E authorizes a displacement of 4 boxes.
The blitzball
The blitzball is a sport practiced in the universe of Final Fantasy X, consistent in a mixture of Handball, Football, and Water sports shirt, the whole under water. The blitzball is in the form of a mini-play being held by actions, and making it possible to gain prices like overdrives for Wakka or of the objects. A match lasts 10 minutes (2 5 minutes half-times).

History
The history starts with Tidus, champion of blitzball of the town of Zanarkand. Today, it must take part in the tournament organized for the 10 years of the disappearance of Jecht, the legend of the blitzball, and the father of Tidus. But right in the middle of a match, a gigantic monster appears and destroys the city. Tidus is struck. When it regains consciousness, it crosses Auron, an old friend, who gives him a sword (gift of his father) and explains the situation to him: this monster is called Sin, and it cannot be overcome. Auron and Tidus thus escape, facing the creatures that Sin ejects of its body.
At the end of one moment, they arrive close to Sin itself. Auron seizes Tidus, and both are absorbed inside the monster. There, Tidus with the strange impression to feel the presence of his/her father, before disappearing again.
When it awakes, it is alone in flooded ruins. After missing being made kill, he excavates the places and is made fire. Whereas another monster the attack, of the individuals unload and help it to kill it. The foreigners, who speak an incomprehensible language for Tidus, strike it and take it along with him.
Tidus awakes on a boat, where the foreigners ask him for a service: to help a girl of their band (which speaks the language about Tidus) to explore an underwater wreck. This made, they turn over on the boat, and Tidus remains on the bridge. The girl returns later to bring food to him and to discuss with him. She is called Rikku, and is Al Bhede. When Tidus says that it comes from Zanarkand, she does not answer. Sin unloads then, and Tidus falls to water.
With its alarm clock, it is on a beach, and sees a ball of blitzball. After having shown his talents with the team which involved itself there, but always affirming to be of Zanarkand, the captain of the Wakka team decides to bring it to the village close to Besaid, in the condition which it involves the players of its team, condition accepted by Tidus. Once at the village, he learns that Zanarkand has been in ruins for 1000 years, and that he must make error. He discovers the Banishers, an army of warriors who fight against Sin, and the Yevon religion, to which all seem to adhere. He learns especially that Invokeur has been in the temple of the city for soon a day, without giving signs of life. Tidus there goes, and enters the room in spite of prohibition. Wakka joined it and explains to him that only Invokeurs and their guards can enter the rooms of the temple, and that itself is a guard. Once at the bottom of the temple, the guards offusquent themselves of the presence of Tidus, but Invokeur, which is an young girl, leaves the Room Requesting, exténuée. Outside the teple, she calls upon Valefore, a Dream, which époustoufle Tidus.
Dans the evening, the presentations are made: Invokeur is called Yuna, and one of its guards, a woman, names Lulu. This one does not like too much to see Wakka with Tidus. Wakka tells in Tidus, that two years front, Chappu, the brother of Wakka and promised in marriage of Excentric, left to fight against Sin, and died in the combat. It had fought with a weapon Al bhede, prohibited by the Church of Yevon, from where the hatred of Wakka towards people Al Bhed.
The following day, Wakka invites Tidus to follow it until Luca, where it will perhaps meet somebody which it knows. It offers even the sword of Chappu to him, that it forever used. For Wakka, it is also the beginning of the pilgrimage of Yuna, of which he is the guard. Thus, Yuna and Lulu accompany them. After being gone to request, they get under way. On the way, it falls on Kimahri, Ronso, which faces Tidus before Yuna does not calm it. As a guard, Kimahri also follows them. The five characters embark on Liki, and leave for Oporto Kilika.
On the sea, Sin attacks the boat. Tidus, Yuna and its guards defend the ship as long as they can, but the attack of Sin will devastate the village of Kilika, making many deaths. Hardly arrived, the inhabitants of the village request Yuna to make the Ceremony of accompaniment; Excentric explains to Tidus that the hearts of dead not joining the Beyond remain at the alive ones and end up becoming monsters. The following day, the five go up to the temple of Kilika, where they get rid of a squame of Sin, a monster left by Sin after its passage. At the entry of the temple, they meet the team of Luca Goers, the team of blitzball champion in title, and Gave, another woman Invokeur, accompanied by Barthello, its single guard.
In the temple, Tidus must remain with the door, because he is not guard. But Gave and Barthello return, and send Tidus in the Room of the tests. In the Anteroom, Wakka sermonizes Tidus, but Yuna arises from the Room of requesting with a new Dream, Ifrit. The hour had just left for Luca.
On Winno, the boat making the connection Kilika-Luca, Tidus is obsessed by the memories of his/her father, and his feeling inside Sin. His/her father always saw it like small, and in anger, it succeeds in launching Jecht Shoot, a very powerful technique of blitzball created by his father. Wakka and Besaid Aurochs is amazed. But Yuna recognized the technique, and it starts to speak about Jecht which it knew ten years before. The portrait drawn up by Yuna makes doubt Tidus which it is about the same person.
In Luca, Tidus carries out that a great tournament prepares. They see the other teams arriving, as well as the leaders of the Church of Yevon, Mika and Seymour Guado. He also intends to say that Auron would be downtown. Tidus, Yuna and Kimahri leave to its research. With the bar, Kimahri meet two other Ronsos, Biran and Yenke, which make fun of Kimahri. Whereas the guard Ronso their file a correction, Tidus sees that Yuna disappeared. Outside, Lulu reveals to him that Al Bheds removed it, and the match against Al Bhed Psyches starts. Wakka deals with the match, and Tidus, Lulu and Kimahri leave towards boat Al Bhed to release Yuna. After having destroyed the machines which kept it, Yuna saved, explains why it did not worry, because it is itself with half Al Bhede by her mother. Excentric sends a signal to Wakka, which uses its last forces to gain the match of accuracy.
During the following match, the finale of the tournament against Luca Goers, Tidus replaces Wakka. But at the end, whereas Wakka had just returned on the ground, of the monsters invade the stage. The guards defend people of best than they can. At this point in time Auron appears, which destroys the large monsters of its long sword and gives its support for Tidus and Wakka. But the number of monsters is too large, and when they believed very lost, Seymour Guado, of its balcony, calls upon a Dream which destroys all the monsters quickly.
Whereas the guards precipitate towards Yuna, Auron takes Tidus with share. The blitzor, furious of what it arrives to him, shows Auron to be at the origin of all. The warrior does not stumble, and reveals why it brought it on Spira: Jecht became Sin, and it is in Tidus to destroy it. The young man is sounded. Auron does not leave him time to box the news, and will offer its services of guard to Yuna. Its reputation of guard of Large Invokeur Braska (the proper father of Yuna) precedes it: Yuna accepts. He also asks him to take Tidus as a guard, because of a made promise with Jecht. Once again, it is of agreement.
It is thus Invokeur and its five guards who engage on the long roads of Mi' ihen. In the medium, they make a halt with the Counter of Rin, a tradesman Al Bhed, which is not taste of Wakka. The following day, a chocobogre arrives and attacks the team. After the combat, it carries on their road. With the door which gives on the Road of Mycorocs, they are blocked by soldiers of Yevon, pretexting a great military operation. But the pilgrimage of Yuna must continue. Seymour Guado in person arrives with its continuation, makes open the door and invites Yuna to take part in the operation. Yuna accepts once more.
On the spot, they discover that Al Bheds take part in the operation Mi' ihen, using impious machines. Wakka then will question Seymour, which advises to him to be unaware of them. All are surprised, but only Tidus is really wary. At the general headquarter of the operation, Wakka and Lulu meet Luzzu and Gatta, two Banishers originating in Besaid, and Auron finds Kinoc, an old knowledge become Maître of Yevon. He entrusts to him that this mission is dedicated to the failure, and is only used to give a little hope to the people as Spira.
the objective of the operation Mi' ihen is however creditable: to destroy Sin. For that, they will attract it thanks to a squame of Sin captivates, then will attack it face with machines Al Bhedes and knives for the Banishers. But a dysfunction of the system releases the squame, and Yuna and its guards must destroy it. Sin arrives, and decimates the troops present. Tidus will attack it, but it still feels the presence of his father, and disappears. The squame reappears, and it is Yuna, Auron and Seymour which take care some definitively. When Tidus returns to him, it can only note the disaster.
Yuna must still proceed to the Ceremony of Accompaniment, before taking again the road of its pilgrimage.
Further, they arrive at the Temple of Djose, where the majority of wounded operation took refuge. There, Yuna meets another Invokeur, Isaaru, accompgné of his/her brothers and guards, Maroda and Pacce. After some mutual encouragements, and whereas Yuna moves towards the Room of the tests, they entrust to Tidus that from Invokeurs mysteriously disappeared during their pilgrimage, before setting out again. The team thus undergoes the test, and Yuna obtains Requesting a new Dream, Ixion, little before Dona and Barthello still do not arrive and make fun of the Invokeur young person and his herd of guards, in spite of the presence of legendary Auron.
The following day, Yuna and its guards leave to continue, after a long night when Invokeur looked after the casualties. On the road, they find Biran and Yenke, both Ronsos, which inform Kimahri of disappearances of Invokeurs. Further, they arrive at Sélénos, river that they cross to back of shoopuf (a espècve of gigantic elephant). But during the crossing, whereas they discuss its disappearances, Yuna is made remove by an underwater machine. Tidus and Wakka plunge and release it, by destroying the robot.
On other bank, Tidus finds Rikku, which was not other than machine controls it which wanted to remove Yuna. After discussion with Yuna, then with Auron, Rikku becomes the 6th guard of Yuna. But Tidus is unaware of always the reasons which justified young Al Bhede. By ailleirs, Wakka did not even notice that it was Al Bhede.
They arrive finally at Guadosalam, the city of Guados. There, Tromell, the majordomo of Seymour, invites them to go at his place, which surprises the team: Guadosalam is only one crossing point for Invokeurs, without more. In the residence, while waiting for the Master of Yevon, Lulu tells in Tidus that Seymour is the son of Jyscal Master, Maître of Yevon deceased some time ago, and of human, from where its appearance.
Inside, Seymour shows with the team a reproduction of Zanarkand, the antique city-machine, and especially a fictitious scene between Yunalesca, the first of Large Invokeurs, and her Zaon husband. It refers to their love which makes it possible to overcome Sin, which offers an occasion to him to make a proposal with Yuna: a proposal. This request surprises everyone, and Auron is opposed to it, saying that Invokeur must continue its pilgrimage. Yuna answers nothing, and leaves the residence.
Before setting out again, Yuna wishes to go in Beyond, where it could think of the proposal. Kimahri, Wakka, Excentric and Tidus follow it, Auron and Rikku preferring to remain outside. After having quleque past there time, they leave the place, when the spirit of Jyscal tries to leave Au-delà. Yuna returns it, but it leaves behind him a sphere which Yuna seizes. A little later they leave for the struck down Plain, because Seymour left for the temple Macalania.
With the Counter of Rin of the struck down Plain, Yuna is insulated in its room. Tidus listens with the door, and hears that it is about a sphere of Jyscal. But Wakka intervenes, and sermonizes Tidus.
Later, with orée of the forest of Macalania, Yuna announces that it will marry Seymour. This decision surprises everyone, but when she says that she will continue her voyage, Auron seems reassured.
In the forest of Macalania, Auron makes make a turning with the team and opens a passage of its sword to show a " cadeau" of Jecht: a sphere that it left for his son, where it tells what it lived.
At the exit of wood, they find Tromell and Guados, which want to accompany Yuna only with the temple. But Al Bheds unload and send a machine that Yuna and its guards destroy. Al Bheds then threaten Rikku, which must reveal in Wakka which it is Al Bhede, and even the cousin of Yuna. But Invokeur and Guados already left, and the guards overlap machines to go to the temple of Macalania. There, they learn that Yuna is in the Room of the tests with Seymour. But a woman leaves horrified at a room the temple, and when the guards go there, they find the sphere of Jyscal. Beyond, it left a message saying that it was killed by his Seymour son, that cekui-Ci would seek to seize more and more to be able and that it had to be stopped. The guards then run to join their Invokeur, but Wakka seems very affected by this message, him fervent supporter of the Church of Yevon. In the Anteroom, whereas Yuna leaves the Room rpiant, the guards make him acknowledge without sorrow its crimes. And when he asks why Yuna accepted the marriage, she answers simply that she wanted to try to reason it. The guards are thus constrained to face Seymour, and kill it. When Tromell discovers what it has just occurred, it carries the body of its Master, destroyed the sphere of Jyscal, and landcent Guados with the continuation of the team, from now on judged heretics. During their escape, they fall on Wendigo, which breaks the ice of the cold lake, and the companions fall into the depths.
A their alarm clock, they are healthy and safe. Wakka does not return from what it has just done, Rikku, Lulu and Kimahri worry for Yuna, Auron and Tidus discuss separately, thing that they could not make for a long time. And whereas they decide to go to Bevelle, Sin appears. It however remains calm. Suddenly, they disappear.
When Tidus returns to him, it is in an oasis in full desert. Further, it joined Auron and Lulu. Then they join Wakka which has just destroyed machines, Kimahri which is in despair to find Yuna, and finally Rikku which explains the situation to them: they landed in the desert of Sanubia, on the island of Bikanel, far from the continent. She knows this island because it is the ground of asylum of Al Bheds. Thus, the guards follow the young girl to Refuge Al Bhed, where she is persuaded to find Yuna.
On their arrival, Guados are there, and with their magic, destroy the Refuge and kill number of Al Bheds. The guards line up side Al Bhed, but must flee on order of the leader of the places. On their way, they reach the Room of Invokeurs, but Yuna is not there. In front of the incomprehension of Tidus, Rikku reveals to him that if Al Bheds remove Invokeurs, it is to avoid to them death at the time of the invocation of the Ultimate Dream. Tidus then carries out the task and the sacrifice chosen by Yuna, and wants to be some terribly. Isaaru and Dona, present, try to comfort it, but no more time ago: it is necessary to flee. All the survivors embark on a vessel, take off, and Al Bheds are reduced to destroy their own Refuge.
On board Vessel, Tidus meets the chief of Al Bheds, Cid, the father of Rikku. It charges Tidus with finding a solution to destroy Sin without his/her Yuna niece not being supposed to sacrifice herself. While waiting, it will seek it. Tidus speaks with the other guards who cannot what make. And whereas it will see the embarked casualties qur the Vessel, Cid finds Yuna: it is in Bevelle, the head office of Yevon, and its marriage with Seymour is proceeding! The Vessel sinks on the city, the guards unload, but when they arrive, the soldiers directed by Kinoc stop them. The marriage thus finishes, and all flee towards the temple of the city. There, the guards find Yuna in the Room of Requesting, where it obtains the Bahamut Dream. But when they leave, Kinoc made irruption and stops them.
During their lawsuit, carried out by the Masters of Yevon, Seymour, Kinoc, Kelk Ronso and the Large Master Mika, Yuna try to overpower Seymour, showing it to have killed his/her father and to be one Wandering, a heart attached to the world of alive but sufficiently strong not to become a monster. But Mika and Kinoc knew it, and Mika is actually him also one Wandering. The amazed team is then condanée with being sent in Via Purifico, a fate considered as worse than death.
Yuna finds Lulu, Kimahri and Auron in the labyrinth. They reach has left, where awaits them Isaaru, which causes a duel of Invokeurs, gained Pr Yuna. When they leave, they find Tidus, Wakka and Rikku, but also Seymour, which has just killed Kinoc. Seymour shows its power then, and Kimahri is devoted to cover the escape of the others. But finally, they make half-turn and lend strong hand to Ronso to overcome the Master of Yevon.
Later, whereas they find refuge in the forest of Macalania, Tidus joined Yuna and is excused for all that it could say, and promises to him to save it. They join the others, spend the night in the forest, and leave the following day for the Plain Congratulated.
The Plain Congratulated is the place where Invokeurs chose to face Sin, because of its extent and its non-existent population. This place disconcerted number of Invokeurs in the past, but Yuna is sure of it, and the team crosses the plain to join the foot of the Gagazet mount
This mountain is the ground of the Ronso people. Maître Kelk Ronso, who left Bevelle after the lawsuit of Yuna, receives them and their bar the road. Yuna, although she is seen like heretic, convinces it to let them continue. But in their turn, Biran and Yenke bar the way of Kimahri, which is the shame of Ronsos. To pass, the Ronso guard must overcome them in singular combat, and reaches that point. He can thus follow Yuna and the other guards.
At the top, Seymour reappears, and reveals with all that Sin is in fact Jecht, the father of Tidus. After overcomehaving still overcome it, Tidus must confirm, but still does not know how that could occur. Further, on cliff of Requesting, Tidus disappears and meets one of Requesting which tells him part of the history last of Spira: 1000 years ago, a war took place between the city-machine of Bevelle and Invokeurs de Zanarkand. Whereas they were going to be overcome, the inhabitants of Zanarkand sacrificed themselves, became Requesting and not called upon Sin, but their memory of Zanarkand, an illusion, a dream, from which come Jecht and Tidus itself. The young guard returns to him, and still sounded, its road continues.
They reach finally the ruins of Zanarkand, where after a halt, they decide to go until the end. In the temple, they see the spirits of Invokeurs of the past, in particular Yocun and Braska, Grands Invokeurs, but also Seymour child with his mother. Once in the Anteroom, they note that there is not Requesting. The spirit of Yunalesca, first Invokeur which overcame Sin, appears, and explains why Yuna must choose one of its guards to become its Requesting, so that it obtains the Ultimate Dream.
When they join it, Yuna asks Yunalesca so once overcome, Sin will return. And Yunalesca answers by the affirmative. Then Yuna refuses to sacrifice one of its guards, and they destroy the spirit of Yunalesca. Before it disappears, it reveals the true nature of Sin: an armor for Yu Yevon, the father of Yunalesca, which used the invocation of the inhabitants of Zanarkand to overcome the army of Bevelle. And to create Sin, it used Zaon like Requesting, that Yunalesca invited to create the Ultimate Dream, and Yu Yevon amalgamated with it to create Sin. The guards include/understand thus how Jecht became Sin.
Whereas they leave the places, Auron reveals in Tidus that it is in fact Wandering one. If it remained, it is to hold the promise made in Jecht protect his/her son. Precisely, outside, Sin awaits them. Tidus speaks to him, the calm one, and it leaves. Vessel Al Bhed appears then, and the team embarks.
On board, the guards agree on the strategy: to create a breach in Sin in order to kill Yu Yevon. But there remains the problem to face Sin. The personality of Jecht being still in him, they will use the Anthem of Requesting, which became a song in Zanarkand of Requesting, and which seems to alleviate Sin. Tidus and Yuna turn over to Bevelle to require council of Requesting temple, and to require to the maximum of people to sing the Anthem.
And the statégie functions: whereas they will attack Sin, which is held on the Plain Congratulated, the Anthem of Requesting resounds in any Spira, and the team manages to penetrate inside Sin. Whereas they seek Yu Yevon, they find the spirit of Syemour, that they destroy last once before sending it in Beyond. Lastly, after having traversed the tourtueux ways of Sin, they find the spirit of Jecht, which they must destroy.
then Appears Yu Yevon, which amalgamates with each Dream of Yuna to try to survive, but they destroy them in turn. And the guards, supported by Requesting, destroy it.
On board Vessel, once all is finished, Yuna carries out the last Ceremony of Accompaniment, and Auron and Tidus must leave for Beyond, which breaks the heart of all, especially Yuna. Later, in Luca, a ceremony is organized for Large Invokeur Yuna and its guards, who allowed the advent of the Eternal Happiness…

Characters
Firstly, the playable characters . They are the main characters of the adventure:- Tidus : This 17 year old young man is the leader of the team of blitzball of Zanarkand Abes. Impulsive and energetic, Tidus never misses an occasion to be pointed out. But actually, this cheerfulness hiding place a deep wound: the abandonment by his/her Jecht father, star of blitzball him also, which disappeared one day without leaving of trace. Whereas Tidus goes to a match blitzball, Sin attacks Zanarkand and the parachute in an unknown place in company of Auron… Tidus there will meet beautiful Yuna and will be éprendra of it. It uses swords, like the Macabre Dance, which kills in a blow.
- Yuna : Originating in Bevelle, Yuna is the girl of Large Invokeur Braska, and it became invokor has his turn. Important fact, his/her mother is Al-Bhed, it is thanks to that it has eyes of different colors. When Tidus arrives on Spira and that it meets it, it is fatal (see kinematics under water in the Forest of Macalania). Unfortunately, Yuna must acquire the Ultimate Dream to beat Sin. But to call upon the Ultimate Dream, Yuna will have to leave the life there… Yuna is expert in white Magic, and is the only character with being able to call upon Dreams.
- Auron : It is a rather enigmatic man. He overcame Sin ten years before, at the sides of Braska (the father of Yuna) and of Jecht (the father of Tidus). Enough not very loquacious, Auron prefers to let speak its enormous saber, like famous Masamune.
- Wakka : He lives on the island of Besaid, and plays in the local team of blitzball, Besaid Aurochs, as a captain and a trainer. One beautiful day, it finds Tidus lengthened on the shore and will deal with him, becoming a big brother in his eyes, which will point out to him the memory of his/her young brother deceased, Chappu. Its weapon is a ball of blitzball.
- Excentric : It is a follower of the black magic. It is for Yuna like a big sister. She was twice guardian before accompanying Yuna for her pilgrimage. She was promised in marriage of Chappu, the brother of Wakka, a banisher died during the fight against Sin. That causes some tensions between the two characters, but lets predict another thing. Business to be followed. As for its weapons, it uses cuddly toys as of Mogs, the Pampa and even of Cait Sith (Final Fantasy VII)!
- Kimahri Ronso : As its name indicates it, Kimahri is Ronso coming from the Gagazet Mount. It was banished of its tribe since one broke his horn to him… It took care on Yuna in its childhood. It is armed with a lance.
- Rikku : This 15 years mischievous and adorable young person is very different from other Al-Bheds. She expresses a particular spirit which often gives again the moral one with the team. It with the characteristic to be able to combine objects thanks to its overdrive “Alchemy”, and to thus create new objects with the unforeseen effects, like doubling the HP, or protecting once from an elementary attack.
Here in more some nonplayable characters who have a certain importance in the play:
- Sin : it is not a true “character”, but a creature which is the personification of the sins (" Sin" mean “sinned” in English) clerk in the past by the inhabitants of Spira. Sin returns every ten years, and can be overcome only in only one manner: by Invokeur which will have called upon ultimate Chimère. It is actually only part of the magic carapace of an entity still much more frightening…
- Jecht : it is the father of Tidus. One day, it was like his son transferred onto Spira, and became the guard of Braska, the father of Yuna. He died to transform himself into the Ultimate Dream of Braska.
- Braska : it is the father of Yuna, it overcame Sin 10 years before and became Grand invoquor. It was accompanied by Jecht and Auron its guards.
- Seymour Guado : Seymour is the chief of Guados, he is Guado by his father, Jyscal, and human by his/her mother. It has a certain attraction for Yuna. It will end up showing its true face at the end of the play.
- Cid : it is the father of Rikku and also the uncle de Yuna. This Al-Bhed leads an immense flying vessel (airship) which will accommodate on its Yuna board and its guards.
- Gave : this young woman is rival Invokeur of Yuna. She never misses an occasion to make fun of her.
- Belgemine : she also is Invokeur, she will learn from many things on the Dreams with Yuna, but will show what she is really in Yuna when the latter acquires the Magus Sisters, with the Temple of Remiem.
- O'aka : an itinerant merchant whom one will be able to find a little everywhere on Spira. It is from time to time replaced by his Wantz brother.

The Chimères are creatures that Yuna with the possibility of calling upon constantly. Yuna can " posséder" up to eight Dreams, five being obtained during the normal course of the play, three others being able to be gained in optional searches. The attributes of the dreams increase with those of Yuna. Here is the list:
- Valefore : This flying Dream is the first obtained by Yuna, with the Temple of Besaid. Very nimble, she dodges the attacks rather easily. It is also the least powerful… At least, until, of return to Besaid after having overcome its alter ego purgatrice (see low), it acquires its second overdrive (Echo), which inflicts the damage maximum of the play (island)! She resembles at the same time a Chauve-souris and a eagle.
- Ifrit : Yuna obtains it in the Temple of Kilika. Its element dominating is fire (it regains points of life besides if fates of fire are launched to him --- that it can launch out itself). Ifrit resembles an enormous wolf of fire or a demon of the Hells, from where it probably comes.
- Ixion : This Dream, whose attacks are based on the Thunder, joins in Yuna with the Temple of Djose. Ixion with appearance of a Unicorn but with a bent horn.
- Shiva : This powerful Chimère is also called Reine of the Ice , because of its affinity with this element. Moreover, in the same way that Ifrit is cured with fire, she cures herself with the fates of ice. She rests with the Temple of Macalania. Shiva with the appearance of a splendid woman to the bluish skin.
- Bahamut : It is one of the most powerful Dreams of the play, with Anima. Yuna recovers it with the Temple of Bevelle. Bahamut has a rather special appearance: a large black dragon with anthropomorphic appearance (arm and legs) and animal (legs, wings, the muzzle).
- Animated : This extremely powerful Dream has attacks devastators, of which the Chaos overdrive. Animated with the appearance of a gigantic monster humanoïde, connected. Only the higher half of its body is visible. Other half remains in an infernal world of appearance, where the victims of the Chaos overdrive are sent: Animated reveals then this other half, a monster, which completes the victims. This Dream is optional. To obtain it, it is necessary to go to the Temple of Baaj.
- Yojimbo : This Dream is rather particular. It resembles a gigantic man, equipped in Japanese costume. It is always accompanied by its dog, Daigoro. Accurately the definition of a yojimbo (bodyguard mercenary in Japan, generally a ex rônin), he asks to be paid --- not only to serve Yuna (he asks 250000 gils at the beginning, but while haggling over, to count approximately 200000 gils), but also each time he attacks. He is in the Cave of Requesting stolen. Its most powerful attack, Zanmato , systematically destroy any enemy, even the most powerful monsters of the play. But this attack is paid expensive, very expensive… Or not too if you have chance.
- the Sisters Magus : This Dream does only one, but is in fact made up of three sisters. the Maria , largest, Samanta , largest, and Anabella , smallest, forms this trio of shock of human appearance, but with physical characteristics of insects (wings, antennas). These Dreams are not ordered like the others: orders should be given them, in the form of counterparts. But they make any sometimes only at their head. Their overdrive (Delta) is one of the more devastators of the play.
- There exist also Chimères Purgatrices , which appear when the player achieved the essence of the scenario (after having overcome Lady Yunalesca in the dome of Zanarkand and to be entered in possession of the airship ). They are malefic versions of the Dreams of Yuna, ordered by of Invokeurs sent by Yevon to punish Yuna, regarded as a Infidèle . The Purgatrices Dreams are identical to the Dreams of Yuna, put aside a change in their colors, which are darker (for example Shiva Purgatrice is of color purple dark, whereas Shiva normal is blue clear). They are also extremely powerful! As example, Anima Purgatrice has 8 million points of life. To overcome is one of the largest challenges of the play… Except piling up the gils and paying Yojimbo grassement, of course.
Spira

Spira is the name given to the world of Final Fantasy X . It is composed of a principal continent and some islands. The life on Spira is rather simple: the arrival of Sin 1000 years ago curbed any technological advance. Here an not-exhaustive list of the principal places of Spira:
- the crowned city of Zanarkand : it is located at the extreme north of the principal continent. It was destroyed by the attack of Sin, 1000 years before the events of the play. There remain only ruins today about it. Tidus is originating in this city. It is from now on the last stage of the pilgrimage of Invokeurs where the Ultimate Dream able rests to destroy Sin.
- the spiritual center of the religion of Yu Yevon is the town of Bevelle , located about at the center of the continent. This city is built in layers, piled up the ones on the others, and at the top of which are the head office of Yevon. It is so to speak a Holy City, from where its other name, Holy-Bevelle . It is the capital of Spira, the Yévonite religion exerting its influence on all planet, it is also more the big city.
- the island of Besaid is the place where Tidus meets for the first time his/her travelling companions. This peaceful small island shelters a temple in which Yuna was crowned Invokeur.
- Oporto Kilika is an island close to that of Besaid, where all the life is built on water. AT the bottom of the jungle of the island also a temple is.
- Luca is a big city in which the inhabitants of Spira can have fun thanks to various animations present: stage of Blitzball, Operated, etc By its size, it is the second town of Spira.
- Guadosalam is a strange city built under the roots of a tree where live Guados. One finds there a gate driving towards Beyond and one finds also the residence of Seymour Guado.
- the Mount Gagazet is a crowned mountain where people of proud warriors are the guards, Ronsos. Kimhari is one of them but it will spend only some time there.
- the island of Bikanel is located at the West of the Continent. It is an immense desert where refuge Al-Bhed is. Many machines as of the ruins are hidden there.
- the ruins of Omega located at the East of the Continent are a lugubrious and uninhabited place where the most powerful monsters of Spira reside. One can reach it only after having freed the vessel.
- the Plain Congratulated is an immense field where any invoquor having finished his pilgrimage must go in order to overcome Sin.
- Sélénos is the largest river of Spira, one crosses it to back of immense pachyderms, the shoopufs.
- the road of Mi' ihen , of the name of that which created it 800 years before, Lord Mi' ihen in order to connect Luca and Bevelle.
- the road of Mycorocs , between Luca and Djose, it is the prolongation of the road of Mi' ihen. It is there that is held the operation Mi' ihen.
The creation of Spira
The world of Spira is different from the worlds represented in the preceding ones Final Fantasy which were rather European or medieval style. Spira is closer to an Asian environment (Southeast Asia to be precise), in particular on the aspect of the vegetation, the places, architecture… etc For example, the names of some of the main characters are of origin Japan ease or Ainou: " Yuna" mean " nuit" , " Tidus" mean " soleil" , and " Wakka" mean " eau".The producer Yoshinori Kitase affirmed that certain players of Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII had not appreciated the atmosphere of science fiction which bathed these two plays, and which they wished " quite simply a world fantastique" (English fantasy world ). For Kitase, the word " fantastique" ( fantasy ) only one obligatorily European world did not indicate and of medieval time (which the Heroic fantasy takes as a starting point, just as Final Fantasy IX), it thus tried to give another definition to the word fantasy ( cf Interview of the creators of the play, on the site of Public garden-Enix North America : http://www.square-enix-usa.com/games/FFX/btg/creators.html). Moreover, Tetsuya Nomura, in charge of the design of the characters, had expressed the wish to create a world whose characteristics would be mainly Asian. Thus the world of Spira was born in the spirit from its creators.
Nomura affirmed to be inspired mainly of the Pacifique South, the Thailand and the Japan for the geographical and cultural design of Spira (especially for Besaid and Kilika). Final Fantasy X borrows also many elements from other cultures: Arab mythology (the Ifrit Dream), Hindu mythology (the Shiva Dream), etc
People
Spira is a multi-cultural world, in which several people cohabit, of which here the list:- Human the : The majority of the inhabitants of Spira form part of it. They are the human ones, whose majority practice the religion of Yevon, known as Yevonistes. Although they are human, that do not empèchent them to have capacity magic.
- Al-Bheds : They are a race humanoïde which live with the variation of the human society. They form a community of the world of Spira. Al-Bheds live in the desert of Sanubia. Although very similar to human biologically, they are characterized by the wearing of masks and glasses (except for Rin, Rikku or of his/her father Cid), by their fair hair and their pupils having the shape of a swirl. They are also distinguished from the other people by their appropriate dresses rather particular. Children Al Bheds carry a very thick combination which entirely masks them. They have a bad reputation at Yevonistes because they refuse the precepts of Yevon categorically and use machines wrongly (robots, weapons, etc.) against the precepts of Yevon. They are expressed in their clean lange, which is in fact anything else only another alphabet or each letter is substituted for another. Al-Bheds can cross with human and give rise to mongrel children: Yuna is the principal example. Although it has neither the fair hair nor the eyes in form of swirl, it has a blue eye and a green eye

the Ronsos : They are beings with cat-like appearance, but anthropomorphic. They are very large and have a great physical force as well as a good flexibility. They live on the Gagazet Mount, which they regard as crowned place. They speak in the same language as the human ones, but without using Pronoms.

the Guados : They are a little like Elfe S in the Heroic fantasy, put aside that they have hands frayed in the shape of claws. One sees their veins arising on their face. They live in Guadosalam and keep the doors of Au-Delà. Cerains Guados old still speak the old language guado, which is anything else only the language of human or the Verbe is placed at the end of the sentences and the orders of certain words is also changed. Cepandant, the majority of Guados usually speak the language about the human ones, which returns the old language guado about to be a dead language. The human ones and Guados can cross and give rise to mongrel children: Seymour Guado is the principal example.

Hypellos : they are beings strange, of blue color, resembling a little frogs, but anthropomorphic. They live a little everywhere on Spira, for example in Luca. One finds them mainly on banks of the Sélénos river, where they make cross the river to people by using shoopufs (a large animal resembling an elephant). They could make excellent players of blitzball because of their great watery capacities, however none accepted contract to date. They speak the language about human, but in " chochotant".
One also finds in Final Fantasy X of many elements or creatures already present in the preceding episodes: chocobos, mogs, caith sith, etc

Derivative products and alternate versions
An international version was born in Japan under the name of " Final Fantasy X: International ". She then left in version STAKE under the name of " Final Fantasy X " (it is the play which left to Europe). This version differs from version NTSC (North-American), since it includes engagements again, like those with the Dreams Purgatrices (malefic versions of the Dreams, to see chapter on the characters higher), as well as new scenes. The Japanese version includes also a video clip twelve minutes telling the history of Final Fantasy X as well as elements relating to its continuation, Final Fantasy X-2 .The European version counted also a DVD no-claims bonus entitled " Beyond Final Fantasy " (" Beyond Final Fantasy "). This disc comprises interviews with the creators of the play, the producers and even two actors who ensured anglophone doubling (James Arnold Taylor and Hedy Burress). One finds there also two trailers of Final Fantasy X , the previews of Kingdom Hearts , the trailer cinema of the film Final Fantasy: creatures of the spirit , the artworks of Final Fantasy X (storyboards and illustrations), as well as the video clip of " Suteki da " who is the song of the play, interpreted by Rikki.
Public garden-Enix even left after Final Fantasy X-2 double-DVD telling the history the play. The derivative products were also numerous: figurines, band-original, guides of play, books, etc Public garden-Enix moreover left a series three books (collection Ultimania) on the play, which contain artworks, answer certain questions concerning the scenario and also comprising interviews of the creators of the play.
