Final (Franck)
The Final opus 21 was written for Orgue by César Franck in 1862.
Franck (1822 - 1890) discovers the organ in 1853 and, since, did not cease composing for this instrument. He wrote nearly 50 parts for this last. He becomes the organist of the church Holy-Clotilde as of the inauguration of the instrument in 1859, built by Aristide Cavaillé-coll. He publishes in 1862 a collection of 6 pieces, writings probably earlier, between 1858 and 1864, and whose opus 21 is the last part.
Work is numbered 33 in catalog FWV ( Franck Werke Verzeichnis ) published by Wilhem Mohr in 1969 and was dedicated with Louis James Alfred Lefébure-Wely other celebrates organist of his time.
Its style, shining and merry, contrast with its other works, more collected.
The execution of work takes approximately 10 minutes.
