Filippo Argelati

Filippo Argelati (Bologna 1685 - Milan 1755) was a Historien, Numismate and scholar Italy N of the 18th century.

Biography

Filippo Argelati works with Muratori with the publication of the Scipions rerum italicarum , which it makes print, like several other great works, with Milan, the expenses of the Palatine Company, founded by Carlo Archinto.

One still owes him Bibliotheca scriptorum mediolanensium (Milan, 1745) and a Biblioteca dei Volgarizzatori italiani (Milan, 1767), posthumous work.

His/her son, Francesco Argelati published treaties of philosophy, jurisprudence, history, and a Décaméron (Bologna, 1751) imitated Boccace.
