Eager to escape the blockade to which the Royal Navy subjects Malta, the frigate S Frenchwomen Diane and Justice try an exit in the night of August 24th. Located, they are taken in hunting by the frigate Success and the vessel X Généreux (74 guns) and Northumberland (80 guns). Joined, the Diane succumbs after an unequal combat and must bring its house. On the other hand, the Justice escapes its prosecutors and regains Toulon the next on September 1st.
