Fights Crooks
The combat of the Crooks was an ambush set-up by Chouans vis-a-vis Republicans. After the catch of the town of Saint-Brice-in-Coglès, republican reinforcements were sent since Fougères in order to take again the city. But Chouans had been embusqués with put-way and had let the Republicans approach with less than 50 meters when they made fire. The Blue ones resisted the discharge and held a moment good, attandant reinforcements. Finally, Chouans launched the load and the Republicans folded up themselves immediately until Fougères.
