A combat nominates a fight, a violent one conflict between two or several persons (either between two or several organizations). The objective is generally to establish a predominance compared to the opposite part.
This term refers to the armed conflicts between military forces during a war. It can also indicate a duel between two people, as for example a combat of Boxe.
Many civilizations raised animals in order to make them fight; these engagements of animals is sources of bets.
In psychology, the spiritual combat indicates an internal struggle on the personal level.
