Fifth district of Doubs
The fifth district of Doubs is one of the 5 French legislative districts which account the department of the Doubs (25) located in area Franche-Comté.
Geographical and demographic description
The fifth district of Doubs is delimited by the electoral Découpage of the law n°86-1197 of the November 24th 1986 , it gathers the following administrative divisions: Cantons of Amancey, Lever, Montbenoît, Morteau, Mouthe, Pierrefontaine-the-Monitors, Pontarlier, Russey, Vercel-Villedieu-the-Camp.
According to the general Census of the population in 1999, carried out by the National institute of the Statistics and Economic studies (INSEE), the total population of this district is estimated at 95007 habitants, .
