Presentation

The field of Luchin is a field of 43 hectares sheltering the seat of LOSC Lille Métropole, the professional football club of Lille. It is localized on the commune of Camphin-in-Pévèle

The heart of the site is a building of the XIXe century, surrounded by vast grounds, consisted of a square, typical farm of the Flemish farms which one finds in the sector. Old property of the counts de Luyne. It changed hand only in the years 1930.

When Losc repurchased it, the place had been surely degraded slowly but for a few years. Left with the abandonment, its open roofs let enter the rains. The windows were for a long time broken, the tagués walls, the battered doors… The place is transformed into wild discharge where one goes even until finding rusted carcasses of cars. To close the table, also let us note 3 attempts at case of arson in 2002, followed by a last case of arson shortly after that Losc announced its interest for the in April 2003 place, fire which will come to destroy 200m2 roof as well as the body of firm representing a eighth of the property.

When Losc repurchases Luchin, its objective is to gather all the lifeblood of the club at the same place (occupational class, training center, administrative services), each one having its own space within the field. Until there, each component was dispersed with the occupational class with Grimonprez-Jooris, the administrative services in the Vauban center with Lille and the training center itself disseminated between Villeneuve d' Ascq for the matches, Wattignies for lodging and Lambersart for the schooling. During the inauguration, the field accommodates thus nearly 200 professionals.

The training center of Luchin falls under a political volunteer which had in particular already allowed the establishment of a first structure Villeneuve d' Ascq. This policy allowed the advent of the training center of category 1 in the years which followed.

In addition, Luchin wants to be an opened site, with the presence in particular of a restaurant as well as a center of back in shape. The idea being that the supporters do not come only in Luchin to see the training of the pros.

To go there

The commune of Camphin-in-Pévèle is located in the Pévèle at 17 km of Lille. To come there it is necessary to leave to the exit " Baisieux " highway A27 direction Brussels.

The pole club

In close but distinct sites:

- the seat of the club (1700m ²) gathering all the administrative activities. It accommodates also a press room high-tech of two dozen seats with flat panel display, a functional studio TV multi, and a room of assembly for the team of reporters of images of LOSCwebTV.

- the Training center (2 850m ²) equipped in particular with an amphitheater of 100 places and decorated of three grounds (two natural grasses, a synthetic grass)

In the current of the month of August 2007, it accommodated its first 24 boarders. Each one of them, and it is unique in France, has its own individual room (there are 26 of them… More 2 double rooms) with personal bathroom. Of a surface of 14m2, the player has of a bed, an office and filing spaces personal.

In addition to their room, the young people can also slacken in a tele room, a living room of reading or even in a gaming room (Board game, Fléchettes, Baby-foot, Air Hockey, video Game console…)

A pedagogical team of 30 people (a psychologist of the sport, a appointed medical staff, a professor for six trainees on average, a trainer for ten players and six “guides of life”.) take care on the starts-up: it has 6 classrooms, which allows a manpower from 5 to 10 pupils per class. One day standard is composed the morning of 2:00 of course and 2:00 of foot. Idem the afternoon. (Wednesday afternoon and saturdays are devoted to activities (except foot) apart from Luchin)

With classification 2007 of the training centres established by LFP, Losc occupies the 5th place (on 32 classified clubs) it is also labellisé " center 1" category; , the highest category of the training centres in France

- The new building of the professionals (700m ²) with cloakrooms, musculation, sauna, baths of recovery, jacuzzi… The professional players will have of a plain of play in natural grass and a synthetic ground with a project of cover for this last.

- A ground of honor, reserved for the public drives of the team first

- A synthetic ground completely enclosed and baptized by the club, the " pit with the gardiens" The synthetic coating allowing them to involve itself without prematurely using the ground surrounding their goal.

- A way VTT, 4 corridors of athletics.

- And finally a course for the jogging which curves within the field… One will note there more particularly the installation of a hillock known as " force - vitesse" who includes/understands a first hillock having a slope of 8% out of 25 meters, follow-up of a dish of 10 meters then a new slope, always of 25 meters, but this time of 10%. This tilted track can also be used in descent to learn with better managing the " survitesse". Claude Puel indicated to have already assembled this kind of hillock to Monaco and to have seen one of them, but out of wood, under the platform of Stadio Comunale, the old stage of the Juventus of Turin.
At the conclusion of the " ridge force - vitesse" one leads to a " track Finlandaise" long 3 kilometers. A portion of 800m, drawn in S, is entirely in the field of view of the technicians. That allows more particularly of the exercises in split. The Finnish tracks are tracks made up of bark of pine (what makes it possible not to tire the tendons and the calves). This Finnish track is also an installation wanted by Claude Puel which had discovered it with the federal Office of the sport Macolin in Suisse

the staff canteen : under the crook of 5 professionals from API Restoration, it can accommodate to 110 people.

Ancillary services offered to the public

Work being carried out on two sections, this part of the project is only in an embryonic state. It is known however that Losc chose to entrust them to dealers.

On this subject president Seydoux indicated at the time of the inauguration: “I am not pressed, it is not a priority. There are possibilities and one will think of it. But, for me, it is additional. The interested investors already waited to see the headlight project emerging before considering a parallel project. ”

These services would include/understand:

- A panoramic restaurant (60 covers) on a platform with sight on the ground of honor and a shop

- A hotel of 26 rooms (for the settings with the green and external customers if availability)

- Rooms of reception

- A ultra-powerful unit of care (hydrotherapy, kinesitherapy, rehabilitation and back in shape)

There exists as of now a being next to amphitheater of 100 places of the meeting rooms. A service of restoration is also possible there

Cost of the project

During the installation of the first stone (September 2006) the president indicated that the labor costs, that Losc financed only, rose with height of 19 million euros including 5 million equities. A subsidiary company, property with 99,9% of the LOSC, was created for the completely private financing in the form of a loan and it is this company which rents the structure with the club, specified Mr. Seydoux.

For the grounds, bought in the current of the summer 2003, Losc would have spent 600.000 euros

History of the project

April 2003 : Losc, in the search for some time of a place to accommodate its " center vie" indicate to have completed its feasibility study for the field of Luchin. Carried out in collaboration with the architect Pierre-Louis Carlier, this study appears conclusive.

May 18th, 2003 : inauguration of the shop - ticketting in the center town of Lille (street of Béthune). With the removal with Luchin and the closing of the shop of Grimonprez-Jooris (May 15th, 2004), it is from now on the only place where the club is present on the town of Lille even.

September 11th, 2003 : At the time of a press conference, to which was invited the town councilors, Losc presents the progress report of the project and entrusts to being from now on owner of the places.

April 2003 - April 2004 : Modification of the Plan of occupation of the grounds and other administrative operations.

April 7th, 2004 : The leaders of Losc meet the representatives of the town of Lille, Pierre de Saintignon, and of LMCU, Michelle Demessine, to announce to them the launching of the installation of the field of Luchin

The first work, which begins in the tread, relates to the realization of the ground honor (105 X 68 in term of surface of play). Made containing reconstituted substrate, it required a displacement of 10.000 m3 ground, 900 trucks and profits from the last techniques as regards drainage with control of pluviometry…

A second ground, a plain of drive, located just at side, is carried out simultaneously. The pros will be able to thus alternate their activities between these two surfaces.

The first drives will take place at the municipal stage of Luchin. Grounds being practicable only with the return of the training course of Autrans (July 12th, 2004). The field needing to be protected before the opening to the public. The first drives open to all will not be possible that as from August 2004.

June 26th, 2004 : The pro team of Losc joined Luchin. She will occupy of prefabricated while waiting for the delivery of the buildings

first quarter 2005 : arrival of the administrative services with Luchin

Summer 2005 : the team Latour-Salier Delemazure is selected among the four cabinets having presented a project for the control of work

at the end of 2005 : The local plan of town planning is modified in its turn.

1st quarter 2006 : ecological and environmental repairing of the Field (demolition of the dangerous trees and at the end of the lifetime, new plantations, clearing out of the ponds…)

March-April 2006 : clearing and preparation of building site

May 5th, 2006 : after invitation to tender, all the companies implied in the construction of the Field received their order of mission

May 13rd, 2006 : deposit of the permit building

September 5th, 2006 : pose first stone by president Seydoux

September-October 2006 : sowing of the sporting lawns

June 2006 - September 2007 : principal phase of the restoration devoted to the principal buildings. The drives are closed with the public. (but remain open for the press)

July 30th, 2007 : Of return of the 2nd training course of preparation to the Touquet (22 July 28th) the pros take possession of their buildings

August 16th, 2007 : the training center integrates Luchin, creation of a " group; Elite" (young pro + better 18 years) within the formation.

At the end of August 2007 : Purify Design, the Identité agency of Mark of the group Publicis Hourra!, is retained at the conclusion of a competition, for the construction of the brand image of the Field of Luchin. The party taken creative of Diagram Design was to work the identity like an invitation to penetrate with emotion in this atypical place. It presents the field of Luchin a square farm of the North of France whose architecture combines tradition and modernity, in the middle of an ECRIN of nature.

September 13rd, 2007 : official unveiling of the field by Michel Seydoux, Frederic Thiriez, Jean-Pierre Escalettes and Patrick Robert (president of the LOSC Lille Metropolis association)

November 15th, 2007 : necessary works with the reception and the safety of the supporters - in particular on the level of the carparks - being finished, the drives are réouverts with the public starting from this date
