Field megalithic of the right Stones
Located in the Morbihan, with a few kilometers of the forest of Brocéliande, along the road which leads Malestroit to Guer, the alignments of Monteneuf most important are listed to date in interior Brittany. Raised with the Neolithic , approximately 5.000 years ago, they were cut down around the Year Millet, probably on injunction of the religious authorities of the time, so that there remained nothing any more but three Menhir S debouts hardly visible of the road.
The excavations led by Mr. Yannick the Stag, from 1989 made it possible to find in a precise way the pits and the stones of chock of a big number of these menhirs and thus to rectify them on their exact site (what was unfortunately not the case with Carnac at the beginning of the 20th century).
One thus could find six lines of menhirs of East-West approximate orientation, with several elements slightly in shift of the axis of alignments.
