Field-marshal

Field-marshal , title of a high military rank, was initially of use in the Prussian army , then in that of the imperial Germany. This title was then employed also by the Russia, the Sweden and the England.

" Feld-maréchal" is the literal translation of brigadier ; but it indicates in fact a rank much more raised, similar to that for example of Marshal of France.
