Fiammetta

Fiammetta is a Ballet in 4 acts of Arthur Saint-Leon (Chorégraphie and booklet), music of Leon Minkus, represented for the first time the February 13rd 1864 with the Théâtre Bolchoï of Saint-Pétersbourg.

Saint-Leon gave a first version of it a few months earlier under the title the Salamander . The ballet impressed by the innovation of certain effects of scene, like shadows by the artifice of convex mirrors and electric lighting.
