Festivals and processions in New York
As of the XVII century, Manhattan was the place of innumerable demonstrations military, religious, civic or political. These demonstration, annual, or sometimes exceptional, are the expression of the concern deep of the New Yorkeans. The first known celebration was that of 1788: she celebrates the ratification of the American Constitution by a gigantic procession and a banquet of five thousand guests.
