Festival of Lucerne orchestrates

The orchestra of the Festival of Lucerne is an orchestra Symphonique Suisse

History

Founded by Arturo Toscanini in 1938, the orchestra is composed in the beginning of Swiss professional musicians meeting at the time of the festivals of music of Lucerne, under the direction of prestigious chiefs.

Following the abandonment of the orchestra in (date), Claudio Abbado refondé it in 2003. This orchestra is composed on the basis of the Mahler Chamber Orchestrated, into which Abbado integrated Soliste S prestigious and the members of best the Orchestre S of Europe, of which philharmonic societies of Berlin and Vienna.
