Festival of Locarno 2007

the Festival of Locarno 2007 is the 60e edition of the International festival of film of Locarno.

It is held 1 {{E}} August with the August 11th 2007 and programs 160 feature-length films, including 19 in official competition. The selection opens by Japanese cartoon film Vexille of Fumihiko Sori is enclosed by documentary the Winners and Losers of Lech Kowalski.

Homage

In 2007, the homage is paid to the large actresses of the Italian cinema with the section “Signore & Signore”. 19 of enter will be with the honor: Alida Valli, Anna Magnani, Gina Lollobrigida, Lucia Bump, Tina Pica, Franca Valeri, Sofia Loren, Claudia Cardinale, Stefania Sandrelli, Giulietta Masina, Silvana Mangano, Monica Vitti, Mariangela Melato, Ornella Muti, Margherita Buy, Asia Argento, Monica Bellucci, Laura Morante, Giovanna Mezzogiorno.

The retrospectives of the year are devoted (in their presence) to Marco Bellochio, Claude Chabrol, Raoul Ruiz and Alain Tanner, Hou Hsiao-hsien will be seen giving a Leopard of honor.

Michel Piccoli and Carmen Maura received each one an outstanding commendation award for the unit of its career.

Producing Argentina Lita Stantic received for its part the price Raimondo Rezzonico, decreed each year, since 2002, with a producer or a production company.

The president of the jury is Irene Jacob, the members are Walter Carvalho, Saverio Costanzo, Romuald Karmakar, Jia Zhang-Ke and Bruno Todeschini.
