Festival of Essouk

Festival of Essouk , also called the Saharan Nights , is a festival of music organized annually in the north of the Mali close to the town of Essouk.

This festival of music wants to be a crossroads between the musics of the world and those resulting from the culture Tuareg. It is in the same spirit as the Festival with the desert which is held close to Tombouctou.

The editions generally take place with the whole beginning of January, within the framework of the mythical city of Essouk, cradle of Touareg civilization.
